not a cloud in the sky...

When there's not a cloud in the sky...

well, that's the very best time for a little trip to Waimea Bay.

Home to...

The occasional sailboat on a calm "almost" summer day.

The very best fish tacos I've ever, ever had. Really you guys.

The coolest bumper/ board stickers ever.

A memorial to Eddie Aikau, famous big wave surfer and City and County lifeguard and just an all around epic human being.

But, most importantly...

Waimea Bay is home to the most creative lifeguards, ever.
See, aren't they just the most artsy fartsy?

Oh, geesh, isn't that just the creepiest santa coconut head thingy?

Sean absolutely loved this very retro water fountain.  Fancy.

And then, also, there's the sea...

and the sun... and the sand...

And the smiles.

That's what Waimea Bay is home to.

live sweet,
n

Oh, and sometimes other things happen at Waimea Bay too...

  3. I grew up close to the beach. Not a tropical Pacific beach! But a beach. And reading your posts makes me miss it fiercely!

    1. Love the beach, any beach Nicole. I actually went to college in Colorado for just a teensy tinsy bit and thought I'd die from being so land locked. I, of course, didn't die and, in fact I fell madly in love with the Rocky Mountains but there is something freeing and endlessly beautiful about the sea.
