Here's an oh so little over due funny from our earth day adventures:
Oh, they made the cutest little treats at Seanzy's little preschool last week.
Oh, they made the cutest little treats at Seanzy's little preschool last week.
And, lightbulb moment, I just knew I'd have to make them for the boys for earth day...
So I did, and Seanzy passed them out to daddy and brother and babbled on and on about how they made these at his school on Friday, and how he loved it and how his teacher tied it in to their nature theme and how his teachers are always so thoughtful and so darn creative and how all the kids sooo love that about the teachers and the curriculum.
Sean's two, it sounded a bit like this:
"i's cool. eat. skool. frenz. eat. i's cool. see bud-r-fly"
Oh, Sean and I were so excited to share our treats, see 'cause they're like ants on a log but they're butterflies, with pretzels for wings, and isn't that so creative and different and better than boring old ants on a log, and...
Tyty says he doesn't like celery and "is that celery, 'cause yeah it's cute but if that's celery...". Tyty is nine.
So, another, perhaps brighter, light bulb moment. I dumped some raisins on the tray and said:
"oh, look, do you know what that is? Why, it's a pile of goat..."
"...feed!"
I'm sure that's just what you were thinking 'cause you're fancy like that.
So, the pile of raisins-- major hit with the nine year old.
And of course Seanzy loved on his butterflies and relished daddy's oohs and ahhs and yum yum yums.
And, hey...
It's all earth to me.
live sweet,
n

What a fun idea with food...gonna use it anyday, not just earth day! Thanks for the share...I think I might just pin it!
ReplyDeleteAren't those the cutest? The preschool had these bigger more flattened pretzels from Costco that looked even more beautiful as wings. And yes, even the Tyty gobbled his all up after he inhaled the "pile of goat... feed". =)
ReplyDeleteHappy Butterflying!!!

ReplyDeleteAda,
